Art in Progress - The Making of a piece of Art
The making of "Longing for light" was a process that took more than eight months to finish. The idea of painting a thoughtful girl drifting backwards in water was developed step by step. My vision was to pull eye on the feeling of inner conflict and longing evolving from hope, fear, and courage. The tense mystery is shown through the way the girl looks up straight, the way she holds her fingers close to her mouth and most of all through the clash of brilliant light and dark colours and the deepness of the black background. This fine master piece was honored with general second place at the Art Exhibition “K-12 Art Show” of Canton High School, Michigan, 2023.
Temptation of danger
This pencil drawing achieved great attention and respect at the Art Exhibition “K-12 Art Show” of Canton High School, Michigan, in 2023. It was awarded with the First prize in the category of "Modern Art" by the judges. The danger is expressed through the light blue colour of the smoke. If you take a close look you find a slight reflection of it even on the girl's eye shades.
